Jari Tammisto’s career in mobile technology has spanned the globe with over 20 years of strategic entrepreneurial leadership and success. His vision and extensive global network of industry influencers was the drive behind the of MobileMonday, now the world’s leading global community to enhance of peer leadership, knowledge, and communal concepts from local to global. The MobileMonday network now operates chapters in over 130 regions/countries under his leadership. Tammisto has been a Partner and Chairman of the Board of 11 start-up companies and executive member of Finland’s technology fund (TEKES). Jari has also been honoured with World Brand Leadership award in 2009 in Mumbai, India, and with special Internationalisation Award from Finland’s President Tarja Halonen.

Klemens Schrattenbacher
Senior Alliance Manager, Research In Motion
Klemens Schrattenbacher, Senior Alliance Manager, since 2007 employee at Research In Motion and is responsible B2C Applications and Software Developers for BlackBerrys in 18 countries.
In parallel to his studies as computer science engineer at the University of Applied Systems “Technikum Vienna” he starts his career in 1997 at max.mobil Telekommunikations GmbH responsible for IP Networks. In 2000 he was responsible for the implementation of first UMTS networks in Austria for needed data backbones at Ericssson Austria AG. From 2002 to 2007 as member of board of sales he was responsible for development and implementation of the first mobile data products at T-Mobile Austria.

Sanyu Kiruluta
Team Lead, Developer Relations, EMEA, Research In Motion
Sanyu Kiruluta is the Team Lead for Developer Relations, EMEA at Research In Motion. She is responsible for driving and managing the development of applications for the BlackBerry platform, working closely with BlackBerry Alliance Partners. She co-ordinates and oversees multiple aspects of the BlackBerry applications programme to ensure the creation and delivery of compelling, high-quality and targeted applications which will appeal to business and consumer users in local markets across EMEA.
Sanyu has extensive experience in the architecture and design of multi-tier software systems in the information technology, biotechnology and financial industries. Prior to joining RIM, Sanyu held technical leadership positions in a diverse range of companies, including Celera Diagnostics and Innoventry. Sanyu also holds both a BCompSc from Concordia University and a MBA from Queen’s University, Canada.

Eric Reiss
CEO, FatDUX Group
Eric Reiss has been meddling with multimedia and web projects for longer than he cares to remember.
Eric is a well-known author, a former two-term president of the Information Architecture Institute, Chair of the EuroIA Summit, sits on the advisory boards of the Copenhagen Business School, Kent State University, and the Romanian Information Architecture Association, and is a former Professor of Usability and Design at IE Business School in Madrid, Spain.
To pay the bills, Eric is CEO of the FatDUX Group, a user-experience company headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, with offices, affiliates, and representatives throughout Europe and North America.

Nick Finck
User Experience Architect, Ubermind
Nick Finck is a user experience professional who has worked in the web industry for over a decade. He specializes in information architecture, interaction design, usability and user research. Nick has created web experiences for Fortune 500 companies including Adobe, Boeing, Google and Oprah.com. He was a founder of Blue Flavor, a user experience consultancy, where they launched one of the very first web applications for the iPhone. He lives and plays in Seattle, Washington, where he’s the User Experience Architect at Ubermind.
Prior to working at Ubermind he was the User Experience Evangelist at Blink Interactive, a recognized leader in evidence-driven design.
Nick was the publisher of Digital Web Magazine, an online publication for web professionals, for ten years. He is actively involved in the web community, helping as adviser to such events as SXSW Interactive, the Information Architecture Summit, InfoCamp Seattle and in the past, WebVisions. Nick has also judged The Webby Awards and the SXSW Web Awards.
He has built a reputation as a community volunteer, promoting growth within the web industry both locally and u can find Nick giving lectures at leading organizations, conferences, and universities. Nick has also helped create an open source curriculum for web professionals and has advised universities on their educational programs.

Dan Romescu
Mobile Social Architect, Augmented Citizen Advocate
Mobile social architect with a clear vision for an open, innovative, green, transparent = sustainable society, with strong interest for Socionetics (Social Network Physics), Augmented Reality, AI and Neurophysics.
Guided by a belief that the information can be reached “wherever you are, with a minimum effort and maximum relevance”, Dan started to work on mobile software development for 15 years, on the first mobile device – the Newton from Apple.
Dan was Director of Cellixx S.A. and explained: “I started developing mobile applications, and have succeeded by creating solutions to enhance peoples’ mobility & connectivity”. In 2000 at Microsoft Partner Congress, CTO of V2R, Dan helped launch first Data GPRS Apps worldwide —with Compaq, T-Mobile and Microsoft. Still, Dan is most proud of (and globally respected for) the Home Zone Project on a smartphone for mm02 plc. The Home Zone Project formed the base of the Genion Leadership Product by mm02.
Dan is a Partner with MIT, Fraunhofer, DFKI with whom he intends “to enhance a new social interaction era with the help of augmented reality.”

Raimo van der Klein
CEO, Layar
Raimo became a freelance mobile consultant in 2007 following a successful career in Sales & Marketing at Nokia and as Principal Innovation Manager at KPN Mobile. During these early days as a freelancer Raimo founded Mobile Monday Amsterdam with Maarten Lens-Fitzgerald and Claire Boonstra, which quickly became the largest and most succesful Mobile Monday in the world. In May 2008 Raimo became co-founder and partner at SPRXmobile – a mobile agency focusing on strategy and concept development with clients like Vodafone and Rabobank. In June 2009 SPRXmobile launched Layar – the world’s leading Augmented Reality platform for mobile, of which he is now Chief Executive Officer.

Chetan Damani

Co-founder of Acrossair, a company dedicated to building advanced iPhone games and augmented reality applications.
Acrossair has recently launched a number of iPhone application on the iTunes app store, including Nearest Tube.
Prior to Acrossair, he launched multiple successful companies in the Internet space. In 1997 he co-founded Imano, a full service interactive agency, working with clients such as Nestle, Citibank, Sun Microsystems and KLM helping brands make the most from the Web. CommerceNow, founded in 2003, provides a SaaS e-commerce solution targeting Small and Medium-sized businesses that want to outsource their sell-side e-commerce operation. We soon followed with the launch of TVguide.co.uk, the largest TV listings site in the UK. The TVguide Web platform currently operates in the UK, India and Ireland with the US due to launch in the next few months.

Patrick Bosteels

Studies like photography and short movie maker were a great start to always be creative. But the real challenge was to put ideas into practice. Olga Steidl
Vice President, Global Marketing
Olga joined SPB in 2006 and coordinates its worldwide marketing team as well as business development in Europe.
Olga oversees corporate branding, PR, event management, product advertising, branding, market research and analysis. A mobile enthusiast and an accomplished social communicator, Olga hugely contributes to building the SPB community and partner relationship.
Olga holds a degree in IT Management from the Graduate School of Management at the St. Petersburg State University, as well as a number of UX/UI certificates.

Martin Duval
CEO, Working at Bluenove
Martin Duval is the founder and CEO of bluenove, the French leader in Open & Collaborative Innovation consulting and services.
Since 2001 at Orange, Martin has been developing and managing innovative projects and services most of them partnering with startups worldwide, ranging from mobile applications, LBS, contact-less, convergence, digital entertainment & media. In 2006, he built a ‘Corporate Open Innovation’ programme at Orange, the ‘Orange Start Up Programme’ focusing on innovative mobile/web 2.0 services. Martin holds a Master in Physics, a Master in Telecommunications and an MBA (Chicago). He started his career in the aerospace industry, followed by management roles in Change Management consulting and Venture Capital.

Philipp Kandal
Co-founder and CTO of Skobbler
Skobbler is one of Europe’s leading mobile and app development companies focusing on location based services. Skobbler has won the Navteq LBS challenge 2009 as the most innovative European LBS start-up and currently has over 1,5 Mio. users on its products which all use OpenStreetMap data. The company is headquartered in Berlin, but has the majority of the team in Cluj (Romania).
Philipp is heading the product management and development team with in total over 50 people. Besides that as CTO he is a member of the management board of skobbler and focuses on the LBS strategy of the company. Matthias Schodits

Matthias Schodits is the Managing Director of YOC CEE GmbH in Vienna. He studied Business Education specialising in Information Management at Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration. Following his studies, Matthias Schodits and his two partners founded CityChannel Werbe und Netzwerk GmbH located in Vienna. His tasks included the foundation and management of a subsidiary in Munich and a joint venture in Prague. Matthias Schodits was also a lecturer for business planning and controlling for new media at Danube University Krems.

Mihai Corlan
Developer Evangelist, Adobe
Mihai Corlan is worldwide developer evangelist at Adobe focusing on Flex, AIR, Flash Builder, and HTML. Before that he worked with Flex Builder as a computer scientist. Prior to joining Adobe, Mihai was a senior developer with InterAKT Online (acquired by Adobe in 2006), where he worked on web products such as e-shops, newsletters, and surveys or on RAD tools for web developers.
He believes that in the future most people will interact with software and consume Internet using smartphones and tablets. Piotr Kozniewski
Chief Conceptual Officer, 3R Studio
Piotr is educated chemist – technician and master, with a great passion and heritage to creativity.
He is self-appointed inventor, dreamer, working on innovative methods of multidimensional interactions in virtual reality for more native, creative and subtle understanding of 3D environments.
He is Chief Conceptual Officer in 3R Studio dedicated also for that – especially interactions in Augmented Reality 3D applications, optimalisation of visual effects in advanced mobile graphic applications – shaders. 3R is working on 3D games in AR and development of mobile presentation technologies. He is also a pioneer in local acadmic enterpreneurship, testing his prototypes and trying to provide mobile virtual illustration tools and services for universities.

Radu Ticiu
Radu Ticiu is managing Timisoara Software Business Incubator, a West Romania publicly founded organization supporting creation and development of technology startups, since its inauguration, back in 2004. Within the Incubator, beside supporting local tech startups (ca. 30, to date), Radu promotes tech entrepreneurship in local high-school and university students groups, organizes local tech communities, works towards building of a local business angel association organizing pitching events and investor readiness trainings, participates in the establishment and functioning of regional IT&C clusters, frequently organizes networking events for the ITC sector and activates in various regional and global networks of business incubators.
In the mobile field, Radu founded in January 2011 and coordinates the activities of Timisoara Mobile Development Group, currently counting around 120 members, recording a dozen of regular events – meetups and trainings – creating the framework for the presentation and feedback generation for over 25 mobile apps developed by local specialists.
As a passionate social media user Radu initiated and curates www.startupchart.ro, the Romanian chapter of Startup Charts, an emerging discovery and monitoring tool of the European technology startups.

Maria Constantinescu

Maria Constantinescu is a media lawyer and entrepreneur, currently the CEO of SlickFlick.
Previously a legal counsel at Freesat UK where she managed the integration of the next generation platform, she has worked across film, TV and mobile in both US and UK and has a JD from Columbia Law School.
SlickFlick is bridging art and innovation in a disruptive platform that enables users to create and distribute compelling storyboards in a mobile environment, layered with interactivity and social collaboration.

All things we use & spend time with deliver us a service in a way or another. They help us solve a problem for which we have have a desired outcome. Thus, a mobile app is also a service and it follows the same psychology in our assessments. Service innovation frameworks as well as service design tools & methods are therefore a good starting point for designing mobile apps that work.

Thibaut Rouffineau
Community and passion builder with a mobile LTE.
Thibaut has been active in the mobile, telecom, software world for the past 10 years as an all-rounder from the research labs, to the telecom shelter, from core network to core OS, from photons to airwaves and from product management to community strategy.
Thibaut joins WIP from Symbian Foundation where he was the Head of Community Management accompanying the Symbian developer and partner community in its migration to open source. Over the past few years has been heavily engaged in the migration of the mobile industry towards a more open and community led approach to development and innovation, especially active in developing the Eclipse and Symbian communities but also supporting operators and OEMs devise their developers program.
Thibaut joined WIP in 2009 to support and develop WIP activities in Europe, with an emphasis on event management and consultancy.
Thibaut holds an Msc in telecommunication from Telecom SudParis and is an Accredited Chartered Marketer.

Andrei Marinescu
Co-founder of Appscend.
Andrei Marinescu is a co-founder of Appscend, a mobile app development platform that make it simple and fast for anyone to create engaging mobile applications.
At Appscend, he is responsible for developing the scalable and mobile-friendly cloud server platform that serves as backbone for all Appscend apps.

Johannes Georg
Johannes Georg has completed his Bachelor’s degree in 2010 at the University of Applied Sciences in Fulda, Germany. His thesis was about using the inbuilt GPS of modern mobile phones for tracking sport activities. That led him to his Master studies in multimodal human computer interaction that he is about to finish. He also is a lecturer for media design classes as well as Android related classes with the special topic of sensor based services. Additionally since 2009 he is a Samsung Mob!ler and also a Samsung developer advocate.
