During an intro at Droidcon.be (event dedicated to Mobile Develoment on Android) following remarks were provided as far a feedback from the Mobile Monday community and way forward.Setting the scene: remarks heard in the community:– Bottleneck considered absence of clear (flat?) fee mobile data– Issue of different mobile development platforms –  Developpers are currently the king,  attracted to take part in the various mobile operating platforms of equipment vendors principally. Key question for future: Answer to the SO WHAT? question meaning that clear business models need to emerge that take advantage of technological possibilities.  A quick poll in the Droidcon …

Mobile Monday Brussels is speaking at first Belgian conference om Mobile applications: Droidcon. The theme of mobile applications is becoming a crucial one to look into detail, also from a developer point of view. A first event of MoibleMonday in October looked at the emergenign Mobile Marketplaces. In the coming weeks, several announcements will be made by Mobile Monday towards enhancing this part of the mobile developer community, and this regardless of operating platform or developer code used. Call for Augment reality Belgian cases > 3/5 The content team is already puzzling a great program together; this time it is composed of Edwin and the VUBsmit IBBT living lab. Augmented Reality is a great topic, bringing together different disciplines from 3D , GPS, Connectivity, smartphone, camera’s, geomaps,…  If you know about a case of AR in mobile in Belgium, or are planning yourself a case by than, let us now. to edwin@betweenbrackets.net   This can be included in the overall program.
