A Discussion and Demonstration of Locally-Developed Mobile Applications
Announcing the next Richmond Mobile Monday Meetup!
Please join LucyPhone and Ironworks in a discussion about real-world use of mobile
technology and the submission process to Apple and Google.
WHEN: Monday, December 6th from 5:30pm – 7:00pm
WHERE: Ironworks Headquarters (10900 Nuckols Road, Suite 400)
WHAT: The event will start with some demonstrations of locally developed
mobile applications from two different Richmond-based organizations:
- LucyPhone – Tom Oristian, Co-Founder of LucyPhone, will present their iPhone app that waits on hold so you don’t have to when calling into call centers with long wait times.
- Ironworks – Chris Stewart, Senior Developer at Ironworks, will present an introduction to Android (market trends, Android’s vision, etc.) and a high level overview of Android development (requirements, technologies, how to get up to speed), as well as his own experience having built, deployed, and supported 4 applications in the Android Market.
The mobile application demos will be followed by a Q&A session and then the opportunity to network over drinks and snacks.
COST: The event is free to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
