Mobile Developer Conference gathered the mobile developer enthusiasts & professionals from Bangalore and other parts of the country on March 27 2010 at Hotel Royal Orchid for a day long event. The theme titled as Emerging Edition explored to examine the massive changes in the mobile industry and the enhanced significance of developer communities in the changed scenario.
The Conference exceed expectations with over 225 people (expected 200) attending the conference from various parts of the country Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai & Pune.
The conference day had a good line up of thought provoking and challenging agenda for the delegates including discussion on user experience, pitfalls of a technology approach, perils of having a single app dependence of business success and appconomics. It also included deep technical session which covered tips, techniques on solving common issues from experienced professionals in areas of porting, automated testing, enterprise mobile apps, game development and others.
Audience in the conference included policy makers, CTO & VP Engineering of mobile development companies, publishers, UX designer, product managers, business managers and most significant in numbers the mobile developers.
Keynote speaker Mr. R N Prabhakar, outlined the journey the Indian mobile industry and criticality of keeping user experience in mind for success. Plenary session by Mr. Atul chitnis explained on “how to” and more importantly “how not to” build applications to be adpoted by the next billion set of users. Session from Mr. Edwin Moses left the audience spell bound on how one needs to go beyond the koolaid to think and build successful business from the new changes in the mobile landscape. Panel discussion on Appconomics discussed in detail the different goto market strategies and its significance of economics of app building.
