Yep.. Grr.. seems we jinxed it with that try not to burn down the website while we’re gone comment.. and so came the end of an era here on the mobilemonday.net site. Two points should be made clear, first: No Way the Happy Bots thought this would be the final post.. but sadly they did not pack a sat-phone for distress call when things started melting-down. Second: while it was all the Web 2.0 rage circa 2010 to build with WPMU tools which enabled DIY Members registration, with Groups etc. interaction, that function became increasingly difficult to manage with so many ‘script kiddies’ and this site was finally crushed by swarms of new account creation attempts – read 100s per hour.. for weeks – before anyone noticed. The fix on that alone was doable enough.. however, as with many so-called perfect storms, it triggered multiple other issues which ultimately proved much larger challenge to address. Let’s leave the more detailed explanation for another time. Suffice to say, now 11-years later, it’s good to see the old site back online.. we really do hope you enjoy! admin – mobilemonday.org
