Quick summary

Augmented Reality (AR) blends digital data with the real world in context and for use by a person in possession of any device with sensors and capable of displaying information in real time. AR was the focus of research laboratories and implemented in highly controlled professional environments long before it became popular. Today, using the latest generation of smartphones and tablets, users can now experience semi-immersive environments — they can see information associated with a place and natural features of the real world.

In this meeting, we will have the opportunity to hear about the latest developments around AR Today, at the AR Today conference.

– How are people using mobile AR?

– What does it take to developer mobile AR experiences?

These are the themes for the AR Today sessions (see full agenda for the AR Today conference). In addition, leading researchers working on the Augmented Reality of the future, also gathering in Basel for the annual International Symposium on Mixed and Augmented Reality, will join us and give us a sneak peak at what they are working on.

Join us for short presentations by your chair for the meeting, Christine Perey co-founder of Mobile Monday Switzerland, invited speakers and professional networking cocktail hosted by CeBIT and empea, organizers of the AR Today conference.
