MoMo#10 : Location based services
Posted on: October 15, 2009 – Filed under: Zurich
When: November 2, 2009 18:00 (program begins at 18:30) to 21:00
Where : Cafe Boy, Kochstrasse 2, 8004 Zürich
Topic : Location-based services have been identified as one of those aspects of context that will fill the coffers of telcos and application developers alike. A killer-application in its own right. Those who made such predictions and acted upon them paid dearly in the first mobile-data wave (WAP 1.0). However, possibly since the launch of the iPhone’s ability to offer location awareness, the possibilities have changed from being mere ideas to real value-added applications for which many are even prepared to pay premium.
