We have now deployed this website on www.momolog.org to make access easier. We are starting to bring some of the missing features online such as better registration and so on. If you need to link to/from our site then please use the www.momolo.org URL instead of the old alpha one.
The December alpha test for the new site went pretty well, we found lots of bugs which are now being fixed and the next version will be ready for our February 2nd event. Many of the bugs were around the management of user sessions, event registration and stability. But it is all starting to come together, we hope to move into Beta and move the whole domain over before our March event and start to get more activity on the dicussion boards.
Note – during the alpha we arent sending or receiving emails from this site, so sending out invites, or expecting to receive emails upon registration are currently disabled. We will look at getting this part live for March.
Ok so the alpha of the site went as most Alpha tests go, with a hitch and many glitches. But in the main MoMoLondon were impressed so many of you signed up, registered and gave our new site a go. Please bare with us on the bug fixes, we will try to resolve all of these and no doubt more before the next event. If you have any comments, bugs, issues or whatever, if you could be so kind to add them into the relevant topic on the forum it would be hugely appreciated and we can tackle them one by one.
It has arrived … finally. The alpha testing for the new MoMoLondon site begins here and we need YOU to help us test the site and let us know what doesnt work, what doesnt make sense, and what is irritating. Right now the site is the basic skeleton of events registration, news blog and the forum. However there are plans for much more in the site. Right now we dont have the email side of things up and running … we are working on that and hope to have it working soon.
Important to note, this isnt yet going to replace the blog and Yahoo! group right now … once we are happy with the alpha we will clear down any registrations, comments and test data and will migrate our community as a whole onto this site … so bare with us please and keep posting to the Yahoo group 🙂
