Whew.. we were just taking baby-steps and cute as a button the other day, now the global community baptized in icy waters of Helsinki harbor has grown leaps and bounds from it’s debut in Molly Malones 13-years ago this month! Yep, we’ll be taking the car keys and staying out all night before you know it.. maybe it’s soon time to start thinking about what we wanna be when we grow up.. Naaa.. Luckily there are also 13 events on tap this week, including 4 dates in Finland, and my calendar shows soon Friday the 13th so 3x the charm = Smiles. Here’s a quicky events round-up below, we’re headed for the mall to geek out with friends and phones.. 😎

Bots Never Sleep.. we did a little holiday weekend tweaking on our site-wide nav. bar to include the list of upcoming local community chapter events – Cheers. We’ll def. do our best to keep that section updated going forward so all can easily see anytime what’s in the near future pipeline; noting that it’s just ‘a bit’ like herding cats with heads-up on Mo’action around the world coming at us from multiple channels and languages. Meanwhile, here’s the tour for this week, have a great one out there everyone.. 😎

So.. the world turns and ‘back to school’ fills the airwaves. As the latest MoMo Germany newsletter noted, The Bad News: Summer is (almost) over but the Good News: MoMo is really back! Yep, we are nearing the end of our usual slow-season events cycle, hope everyone had a great break, and see the local MoMo chapter activity plans coming back on-track. A quick review of the upcoming gigs below, most certainly looking forward to plenty of action out there headed into 2013 year-end. Slated for 08.26, so far as we can find, shows Chicago and Lansing in the spotlight while Accra is running on Friday Aug. 30th. Birmingham is up on Sept. 2nd while Ann Arbor gathers on 09.04 and Bogota runs Movil sessions on Sept. 5th. Also as mentioned in the title here; MoMo Finland HQ will celebrate (lucky) 13th Anniversary with Be Inpsired roadshow kicking off new chapter debut in Turku on Sept. 9th leading an all-star cast on tour 4 consecutive nights visiting Tampere, Oulu and Helsinki. We forecast many smiles.. and perhaps several drinks.. Kippis Sille! Meanwhile, Last Call and Fair Warning to join the next Momentum Accelerator program, deadline to apply is Sept. 2nd. According to the organisers there has been even more demand than for the spring session, thankfully they accept 8-10 entries this time, best wishes to all.. 😎

Yep-aroos.. triple shot of Mo’goodness down under; Adelaide, Brisbane and Melbourne all rocking 08.19 as the seasons a’changin there. Super to see Dakar back in the groove and Kuala Lumpur gathering at GTower tonight as well. Nazareth is running lucky #7 and Silicon Valley does HTML5 Labs event at AT&T Foundry in Palo Alto. Coming up on the 24th Phoenix joins the family = Big Smiles.. Congrats to all the good folks there.. 😎

Also slated for 08.24: MoMo Bangalore runs Mobility Matters and Vienna joins with local groups for a Huge Summer Party Mash-Up, will be a total scene. Otherwise, for week of Aug. 26th; so far we have Chicago and Lansing on-tap and will update with other late or missed additions as possible here.

Meanwhile.. lotsa buzz for the next semester of our Momentum Accelerator program. Are you up for 12-weeks in The Valley.. where everyday is Monday..!?! Fair Warning deadline to apply is Sept. 2nd.. =!_!=

Yes.. it was great trip and have a super sunburn too.. we’ll get around to sorting everything here over the coming week. Meanwhile, Detroit runs AR focused theme tonight while Kuala Lumpur gathers at their swanky GTower rooftop venue, the Amazon Era Begins in Seoul and Silicon Valley is focused on Wearables with an all-star lineup and sponsored by Ubuntu. Looking slightly ahead we see Beijing runs on Sat. the 17th with WeChat in the house.

For Aug. 19th, so far we find; Brisbane plans Mobile Enterprise Night, Dakar gets back into the groove with Mobile Marketing and Melbourne has their Entrepreneur Edition with Richard Branson, app pitches and prizes galore! Also noted that Vienna is joining forces with several local groups for a Summer Mashup Event on the 24th.

BTW: Reminder.. the Momentum Accelerator program is taking applications, deadline Sept. 2nd, for their next semester.. awesome opportunities in The Valley = Good Luck.. and Smile… It’s Monday.. 😎

WoW.. MoMo folks are gathering in 5 countries around the world, on every.single.day this week, with a great range of topics and speakers on offer! Hearty Congrats to the Momentum team on their debut accelerator class graduation and Full Props to the crew in Vietnam for running back-to-back gigs and impressive program lineup on-tap there as well.

Quick heads-up for the developers out there, in case you missed, Nokia announced their new Future Capture Contest with deadline to submit July 31st and ten winners headed to the hackathon in Sweden at the end of August. Maybe we’ll see you there.. 😎

Finally.. folks around the Mo’world are headed for some hard earned R&R over the coming months, take good care out there, no doubt a few extra sleep cycles and some offline time are fully in order. We’ve posted the round-up of MoMo events below for the next couple of weeks, sorry to miss noting this Mega Startup Meetup in Stockholm, and see several more chapters are geared-up for later in the month as well.

That’s Right.. your loyal scribe is back from a month on the road, visited six cities and spent a week camping in the mountains, barely rested and near ready for another nappie! Jumping into the hot seat here at mission control again we’ll reboot with warm smiles to all involved with the latest addition to our Federation of Mobilistas in Bristol – Cheers! Also keen to have the chapters in China joining for the 2nd annual Mobile Asia Expo event in Shanghai, many thanks to GSMA for their co-op efforts again this year. Meanwhile, we’ve got the summer solstice season round-up below, with a dozen MoMo gigs running around the world tonight, trust all have a great evening and fantastic week ahead.. 😎

Yep’eroos.. the extra Happy Bot is punching out to hit that big highway in the sky! We have six stops planned over the next few weeks and expect to spend some high quality time in front of the campfire singing songs under the stars.
