Mobile Monday Global Events for Week of November 7th – 2011

11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month – in 2011 – Lest We Forget

Smile.. It’s Monday for November 7th and we’ve got 20 MoMo gigs, possibly a new record, scheduled to rock worldwide. As noted last week on the Tricks & Treats post, your ever faithful and energetic Happy Bots will do our level best going forward to put together a quick events round-up for you here.

Sadly, seems we missed the Accra event Nov. 4th, Ghana does Mobile Monday on Fridays, Keith and his team are on tonite in Ann Arbor with program targeting Android Developers, and Brussels digs into Mobile b2b Challenges – complete with a live ustream for those who cannot attend in person.

Boston has a super NFC and Mobile Retail event theme line-up while Cape Town welcomes Google, possibly expecting some inside skinny there with respect to new smartphone consumer research, and Chisinau is running a BlackBerry Developers Webcast. We should also point-out that our new crew there in Moldovia just joined this event with the World Bank last Friday = Great Job Yana!

Dar-es-Salaam is back in the groove tonight with their Battle of the Mobile Platforms and Denver has event dedicated to QR Codes. Hamburg does Gamification, note that’s on Tues, Big Congrats to the lads and lasses in London for their 6th Anniversary event, with an all-star line-up of the usual suspects, and our belated mega wOOt! goes out to MoMo Philly on the Nov. 3rd event at Temple University.

Miami has a Mobile Coupons show on-tap and Montreal will explore Taking Mobile Further at Cafe Republic, we have another birthday party in Sao Paulo – celebrating the terrible two’s – sniff.. they grow-up so quickly. Seoul has Mobile Advertising show and Silicon Valley is set to dish on the Secrets to Building a Successful Business on Mobile, tix ’should’ be $1,000.. But as always = Free!

Shanghai partner Silicon Dragons run a Battle of the Start-ups tonite, the gang in Skopje, Macedonia for the geographically challenged, has HTML5 focused event and Sydney is geared up for Santa with Mobilising Christmas.. MoMoMo! Taipei is back with SoLoMo Context and Meaning while Toronto has mCommerce Panel and the new team in Vietnam brings Tomi Ahonen to Ho Chi Minh City Nov. 10th.

A quick FYI on a few upcoming gigs here while we have your attention:

- MoMo Germany celebrates their 5th Anniversary – Congrats! – next week in Dusseldorf.
- Because of the flooding in Thailand, Bangkok decided to postpone their Nov. 14th event.
- MoMo Tampere has their debut event next Monday night, sponsored by Ixonos and Nokia
- Skyhook sponsors Mobile Monday Hong Kong on 11/16 as part of Mobile Asia Congress.

Otherwise, we wanted to feature some new members with interesting profiles who’ve joined the community recently. Don’t be shy – say Hello!

Drew Harlow, Eyal Rosen, Oliver Starr, Tamara, Jeff Bacon, Phil Costa, Andrew Goulton, Sai Geetha, Kyle Studstill, Peer Mbonika, Naveen Srikantaiah, Jonathan Charles, Daniel Lewington and Todor Krecu.

Finally, again, it’s MOvember (yes, there’s an app for that) and the boyz from down-under WANT YOU!
